Terms of Service

Last updated: January 1, 2026

By using OwnDoor, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our platform.

What OwnDoor provides

OwnDoor is a platform that helps homeowners list and sell their properties without a traditional real estate agent. We provide tools, templates, document packages, and optional professional services to support your sale. OwnDoor is not a licensed real estate brokerage and does not act as your agent.

Your responsibilities

By using OwnDoor you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information in your listing
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding property sales
  • Complete all required disclosures honestly and on time
  • Not use the platform for fraudulent or misleading purposes
  • Be the legal owner (or authorized representative) of the property you list

Payments and refunds

All fees are charged at the time of purchase. One-time listing fees are non-refundable once your listing has been submitted to the MLS. Monthly Premium plan subscribers may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Add-on services are non-refundable once delivered.

No legal or real estate advice

OwnDoor provides general information and document templates for educational purposes only. Nothing on our platform constitutes legal, financial, or real estate advice. Our attorney review add-on connects you with a licensed attorney who represents you independently — not OwnDoor. We strongly recommend consulting a licensed professional for guidance specific to your situation.

Limitation of liability

OwnDoor is not liable for the outcome of your property sale, errors in your listing, disputes with buyers, or issues arising from documents you prepare or sign. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

Intellectual property

The OwnDoor platform, brand, and content are owned by OwnDoor and protected by copyright. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our materials without written permission. Your listing content (photos, description, etc.) remains yours.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of OwnDoor after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
